As I reflect on my last three weeks in Dublin with the House of Brigid, I’m reminded that my life—every part of it, the good and the bad—belongs to God. Everything He allows into my life is for a reason, and in every challenge and blessing, He is glorified in my story. Every moment and every experience is meant to draw me closer to Him.
This journey in Dublin has been a testament to His faithfulness. Whether it’s the simple joy of sitting in a lively pub, surrounded by the sounds of traditional Irish music, or the quiet stillness of hiking the Wicklow Mountains. I see His hand in everything. The music, the laughter, and even the silence speak to me of a God who is present in all things. In these moments, I feel so connected to Him, realizing that everyday He is writing something beautiful into my life.
The challenges of moving to a new city, too, have had their purpose. Having studied abroad in Maynooth in 2022, I thought I had a sense of what life in Ireland would be like, but God has shown me that every new chapter and every new city brings its own growth and transformation. Through it all, I’m learning to trust that His plans are always for good—even when I can’t fully see where the path will lead. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every joy is a reminder of His grace.
With every new experience, I’ve come to realize that growth often comes in moments of uncertainty. The same is true for the future—just as I’ve learned to trust His plan through the challenges of adapting to my new life in Ireland, I’m reminded that this trust extends
to what lies beyond this year. People keep asking me what I will do following my year of service. But I think that sometimes God doesn’t reveal the next stage of our lives because He wants us to be fully present in the here and now. It’s easy to get caught up in worrying about what’s coming next, but He calls us to trust in His timing and His plan. By keeping our focus on today, on what He’s doing in our lives right now, we allow ourselves to truly experience the growth and learning that’s happening in this moment. The unknowns of the future can be daunting, but they’re also an invitation to lean into His presence and to trust that He will reveal what’s next when the time is right. In this way, we can live with peace, knowing that His plan for us is unfolding exactly as it should.
So, I continue to walk this path knowing that every step, every moment, is part of His story for my life. He is glorified in the music, the mountains, the ministry, and even in the moments of doubt. And I trust that in all of this that He is guiding me, working through me, and using my story for His glory.
