Last week and this week we have had an absolute blast helping the 6th class students of Kennedy Park and Scoil Mhuire prepare for Confirmation by attending and helping lead their retreats. We had a great time playing Super Rock, Paper, Scissors; talking about our gifts and how we can use them to help others; discussing our relationships with friends and family, and how every one of our actions has the capacity to impact those relationships for good or for ill.
These kids are amazing; we are privileged to know them, and blessed to offer our gifts to them as they prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Please keep them all in prayer this week: the students of Kennedy Park will be confirmed on Thursday, and the students of Scoil Mhuire will be confirmed on Friday. May they be filled with the grace of the Spirit, and the seven gifts of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, courage, right judgment, reverence, and wonder and awe in the presence of the Lord. Come, Holy Spirit!
