After our busy and beautiful Triduum weekend, the four of us took a week to rest and recover. This meant that we scattered in different directions, and we reunited this afternoon over a panful of Dan’s delicious shepherd’s pie. We talked a bit about our various adventures from the break, and also started to look ahead to all we have scheduled for this week. We have three confirmation retreats in a row, which means an exhausting week, but I’m especially looking forward to these, as we’ll be working with the students from our own schools here in the parish. Since we’ve had many of these children for Class Masses, Christmas carol services, and the “You Shall Be My Witnesses” program this year, we’ll have a different sense of continuity with their overall formation, and they’ll hopefully be a little more comfortable with us and be able to dive right into conversations about their faith journey up to this point.
We’ll have lots of bits and pieces to take care of in the office, too, and then we’ll cap off our week with a Mass with the ACE Advocates in Dublin. Nothing like diving right back into the thick of things!
